Some Physics and Biology of Living A Life of Positivity and Youthfulness

Space is a significant physical factor that plays a dominant role in deciding physical properties of matter — what is there in a given space and how they behave within that space under certain conditions. If we adapt this concept of space to understand human attitude, space is our Intellectual Sum, or I.S. and that what we manage within that space decides our characteristic attitude, with the exception that we have the power to choose, hence, can overcome conditions to change the course for better or worse. And the constituents of I.S. are a conscious decision by us. Likewise physical space, I.S is also an infinite space which, as you fill it with more and more constituents, expands more and more to create even bigger space to fill.

It is a known physical fact that positive forces create forward momentum while reverse/negative forces can negate and/or counter-balance such momentum — examples like accelerator and breaking-system; centrifugal and centripetal forces, etc. Similarly, positive thoughts generate and radiate the energy needed to propel us forward while negative thoughts bog us down mentally and physically.

A few self-engulfing and debilitating negative thoughts are jealousy, hatred, lack of self-esteem, revenge and unappreciative outlook, and these thoughts shrink our I.S. to occupy themselves as the domineering forces which produce only negative energy — uneasiness and a disturbed mindset. We get tied down in that negative state, with each of these negative forces feeding by itself as time passes, negating needed-progression in our life.

Love, kindness, forgiveness, appreciating-mind and humility are some of the thoughts that take us forward because these thoughts produce positive energy — peace and tranquility. The negative forces not only bridle our progression in life but also cause irreparable damage to your physical and mental health. On the other hand, if you fill your I.S. with positive thoughts, then your life will be filled with energy and youthfulness, even extending your lifespan. Let me bring some biology to illustrate this with an example as detailed below.

I happened to read a piece written by a doctor a few years back, and it goes like this: Human body is the largest chemical factory in the world. When we get angry and have negative feelings like hatred, jealousy, etc., then certain enzymes — chemicals — will be produced in our body, and these chemicals will get accumulated in our body over a period of time, leading to diseases like ulcer, etc. On the other side, when we are happy and filled with positive feelings like kindness, forgiveness, love, humility, then also certain enzymes will be produced in our body. And these enzymes smoothens our cell-membranes. As you may know, hardening of cell-membranes — wrinkles —  is a sign of aging. In Malayalam language, there is an adage:”ഒരുപാട് ചിരിക്കുന്നവർ ഒരുപാടു നാൾ ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കും.” It translates like this: “Those who laugh a lot live longer.” Well, laughter is a sign of happiness. The medical explanation given by the doctor is the essence of this adage.

Do realize that when you get jealous of anyone, then nothing happens to that person, but you are damaging your health, besides, wasting valuable time to think about and act to progress in life; similarly, anger kills you, not the person you get angry at. Buddha knew it 2500 years ago, and he said, “You will not be punished for your anger, you will be punished by your anger.” When you do a charity — a form of kindness — you help someone as much as you help yourselves; when you smile at and talk to someone politely, you are generating goodwill in that person as much you do in yourself; and when you forgive your enemy, you generate as much peace and tranquility in you as you do in your enemy.

Fill your Intellectual Space with positive constituents and lead a life with positive energy — peace and tranquility —  and youthfulness. If you find that your Intellectual Space is filled with negative constituents, get rid of them and fill it with these positive constituents because you have the power to choose. Live a life of positivity and youthfulness!

  1. Thanks for the exceptional writing . There is an assumption here that one controls the space . But it’s not the opposite mostly in a society ? We go through so much of evolution to reach there from our childhood . How early one can achieve that is important for humanity to survive .

  2. You actually make it seem so easy with your presentation but I find this topic to
be actually something that I think I would never understand.
It seems too complex and very broad for me. I’m looking forward for your next post, I will try to get the hang of it!
